Soumya Biswajit at Ramjas College

Namashkar!

I am Soumya Biswajit!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm a 23-year-old adult, who's mentally ready to be a grandfather. When I'm not dreaming up about random topics, you can find me playing the sitar (as it is my profession), composing music, or tinkering away as a recording engineer. You can see me leaning on my sitar case in the picture beside the "About" column that's just above this.

In my free time, I love nothing more than to indulge my passion for reading and writing, which is why I started this blog. So, pull up a chair and join me on this journey as we explore the beauty and complexities of life together.

a bit about this blog

Small Soumya Biswajit, aspiring poet or gangster?

Welcome to "Hopeless Romantic," a blog where I share my thoughts on life, music, the moon, dogs, philosophy, and everything in between. My name is Soumya Biswajit, and I'm a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, with an appreciation for the beauty and complexities of life (as is evident from the picture provided on the left).

I find comfort in writing. One can look at this blog as a coping mechanism for when I'm anxious. For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn by the beauty and intricacy of the world around me, seeing magic in the ordinary and finding meaning in the mundane- in short, anything that makes life a bit happier, a bit more hopeful, a bit more bearable for the people who are in it along with me. In this blog, I'll be sharing my thoughts on anything that catches my attention, be it philosophy, or just a documentary about some event that is happening.

I'll mostly be getting into the philosophy of life (just a prediction, but then I surprise myself a lot), sharing insights on how we can find purpose and meaning in our experiences, and exploring the thoughts that keep originating inside my mind from time to time (ah, yes, there are a lot of tabs open inside my mind at all times- a lot of projects I keep working on).

I'll also be sharing some snapshots of the world around me, capturing the small moments in which I find beauty. From the colours of a sunset to random details of a flower, I find beauty in the everyday, and I hope to share that beauty with y'all. So whether you're a fellow romantic, a seeker of meaning and purpose, or simply someone who loves to appreciate the beauty of the world around you, I invite you to join me on this journey as we explore the wonders of life together.

In a very curious way, I see my own romanticism play out:

I know for a fact that not many people will discover this blog. Even a lesser number of people will actually read the posts. Finally, only one or two people might ever read this section: yet, I write, not caring how many people it will reach, but because I enjoy the process.
